Red Onion Salad Dressing

If this is a salad dressing recipe, why is it in a wine glass in the picture? Because I could drink the stuff.  It's that good. It's also great on broccoli. And, oh ya, it's not bad on salad either.

My Aunt Mary makes it for family gatherings and this year she gave me a bottle for Christmas. It's possible she meant for it to go on the salad at Christmas dinner but I don't think so - I choose to believe she made it just to me to pour on my salads and veggies.

Aunt Mary got the recipe from her ex-sister-in-law Anne who recommended it go on a salad of greens, mango, avocado and pecans. When she gave me the recipe, the instructions were to "blend everything in a blender. That's it."

Gentlemen, start your blenders . . .

Red Onion Salad Dressing

1/4 cup white vinegar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup olive oil

1 teaspoon salt
1/2 small red onion, chopped for easier blending
1 tsp dry mustard
2 Tbsp water

Blend everything in a blender. That's it.

Enjoy!
