French Toast - Oven Baked

Baked French Toast

4 slices bread, sliced into strips or cubes
2 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
cinnamon, to taste
almonds, blueberries, raisins: as desired
















 Mix eggs, milk and cinnamon thoroughly. 










Arrange half of the bread slices in buttered or parchment-lined baking pan.

Pour half the liquid over. Arrange blueberries or raisins on top. 





Top with the other half of  bread and then pour the remaining liquid over the top.
Sprinkle with sliced almonds.

Let soak as little as 15 minutes, but overnight in refrigerator is much better. 


Bake at 350 about 25 minutes. Sometimes cooks more quickly; sometimes takes a bit longer. Depends how thick you've sliced the bread.
